SSC lists a compulsory reasoning and awareness component in Paper I plus one elected technical part (A–G). Paper II is technical. These are condensed topic headings from the official indicative syllabus, not a substitute for the branch-specific detailed notice. JE, Scientific Assistant IMD and Telecom posts have different elected parts and qualification rules.

Paper I · qualifying CBT

Select the engineering or science track corresponding to the post and application. The 100-question track is one alternative, not all seven combined.

Key rules and selection stages

Both papers use objective MCQs in Hindi and English. Wrong answers lose 0.25 mark in Paper I and 1 mark in Paper II.
Minimum qualification in each paper: UR 30%, OBC/EWS 25%, other categories 20%. These are eligibility floors, not the post-specific selection cut-offs.
