BITSAT 2026 · Mathematics route

The 130-question base test has one shared three-hour timer, not sectional timers. Mathematics is the fourth subject for PCM applicants.

BITSAT 2026 · Biology route

For eligible PCB applicants, Biology replaces Mathematics; the other four parts and shared timer are the same.

Key rules and selection stages

Correct answers earn 3 marks, wrong answers lose 1, and blanks score zero. After answering all 130 base questions, a candidate may choose up to 12 extra questions: three each in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and Logical Reasoning. Once extra questions are selected, earlier answers cannot be revisited; 390 is the base-paper maximum, not the highest possible score with extras.
The admission brochure distinguishes PCM and PCB programme eligibility. The linked syllabus gives subject areas; the page's syllabus snapshot is a condensed navigation aid, not every brochure subtopic. BITS publishes campus- and programme-specific final admission cut-offs separately.

The admissions site calls these final academic-year 2026–27 admission cut-offs, by campus and programme, and prints scores against a 390-mark BITSAT scale. This page was checked on 28 September 2026; the source gives no publication date. These are admission closing scores, not a universal pass threshold, and individual programme availability and eligibility differ.
